Q: What is the requirement for PCB assembly?
A:
- Board size should be less than 18.5 inchs x 14 inches for SMT assembly. ACME prefer 12 inches x 12 inches.
- Board thickness need between 20mil to 160mil for SMT assembly.
- Fiducial Mak is required on PCB.
- Fiducial Mark is a foil element on a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) that is viewed by SMT machine vision to determine the location of the pattern on the PCB.
- The review Fiducial mark requirement for SMT assembly.
- ACME PCB assembly can build board without Fiducial Mark, but we preferred to have Fiducial mark on boards.
- Bill of Material (BOM) in microsoft Excel format. any
component which doesn't need to be installed, please mark "NP"
(not plated) in BOM.
- The BOM should required following information.
- Reference designators such U1, R3...
- Quantity of each item of components that need to be assembly.
- Manufacture part number
- Foot prints (package shapes)
- Values.

- GERBER files
- Pick and Place file if automated machine placement is required. we may help generate the pick and placement file for you, but P&P file generated from your CAD is most preferred.
- Silkscreen file with markings on polarity and pin-1 positions.
